Treasures Medical Mission to Russia - June 2005

Home visits are always a highlight for team members. We visited single moms and widows, taking food and supplies with us. Most of the time, we visit the unsaved, but this trip we felt the need to care for Christians. Calvary Temple, in Vladimir, provided the homes of moms and widows in their church who could use a visit. Calvary provided translators from their youth department!

Here is just a sampling of the homes the team visited. Particularly sweet is the last photo of Lena and her daughter, Nadya. Lena works for the organization we first visited Russia with in 1996. As home visits are part of her job, she went with Donna and me on our first home visit in 1999. She has been a single mom as long as we have known her. Natasha has grown into a beautiful young lady. This time, we were able to bless them, as they became the “blessee”, instead of the “blessor”.
