Treasures Medical Mission to Russia -
June 2005
The mission begins in Moscow

Once again, I
refer to “We make plans, God changes them to suit His needs.” For
several unexpected reasons, we cancelled the trip to Voronezh. Our
first ministry of the mission was shopping at Ikea, in Moscow, for
Zhanna and Andrey’s apartment. We purchased:

• Kitchen cabinets, sink, and faucet
• Two beds, with drawers for storage, and mattresses
• Down comforters
• Lights and lamps
• Nightstands
• Shelving and storage boxes
• Kitchen racks
• Dining room table and 4 chairs
• Clock, Coat racks, Cabinet
• Lots of little nick-nack patty-whack…I mean nick-nacks of all sorts |

In November 1941, the Germans were stopped in this Moscow suburb,
only 8 miles from the Kremlin. We began our mission at the memorial
marking the spot where the Germans retreated. We prayed for the people
of Russia, their government, and our team.
